TEI is a niche player in the European Energy Markets. Our activities include CO2, GoO and Green Certificate trading, power generation, retail supply and wholesale trading in the deregulated power markets.

We are active in various European wholesale power markets including those of Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland, with particular focus on inter-country arbitrage and tolling agreements based on coal and natural gas inputs.

In Italy TEI is also present in the retail market, supplying power to medium sized industrial companies such as cement and paper manufacturers.

We manage, own and operate various generation assets in Italy, including natural gas fired combined cycle power plants and photovoltaic farms. Along with our joint venture partners in Adrialink, we are also actively developing Merchant Line Interconnectors in northern Italy.

More recently in step with the developing environmental markets in Europe and the introduction of the European CO2 cap and trade scheme known as the EU ETS, we have broadened our trading portfolio to cover CO2 Allowances and CERs (Certified Emission Reductions), complementing our presence in the GoO and Green Certificates markets.
